What is an internship and why
should I do it abroad?
An internship is a position that allows students or graduates to gain professional experiences during or after their studies. As an intern you work with a tutor who gives you guidance throughout your entire stay at the company and who also will give you feed-back on everything you work with during your internship.
How long should an internship last?
Most of the companies want a minimum length of six to eight weeks to have enough time to get the intern truly involved in the everyday working life. Internships could last up one year.

How many hours per week are required for a
typical internship?
Internships can be part-time or full-time. For a comprehensive learning experience a minimum of 20 hours a week is recommended. In most cases you would also be able to take Spanish lessons during your internship at a language school or at the University.
Are internships paid?
Some internships are paid, some are unpaid depending on the company. There is the possibility to apply for a scholarship with various organizations. Some companies readily employ their interns after a completed successful internship.
Do I need an insurance?
To
work as an intern in Spain you need to have an insurance. Many
companies do provide an insurance upon offering an internship others
might not. If this is the case you yourself have to organize this but
it is easily done and cheap – from about 25€ and up.
